The acorn ripening in the three tree kind (queijo, holm oak and cork oak) which compound the pastures of the Jabugo’s environment is perfectly synchronized with the iberian pig’s vital cycle, happening this in a stagered way in a wide period. This allows a long ‘montanera’, so, a better quality feeding for the iberian pigs during almost six months in the year.
